Welcome!

It’s not easy getting started with therapy so I appreciate that you’re here and don’t take it lightly.

Are we a good fit?

  • We may be a good fit if you’re craving to go below the surface to root causes, but also want practical strategies for everyday life.
  • If you’re looking for a place to be genuinely supported and to challenge yourself.
  • If you need a nonjudgmental place to untangle your thoughts and emotions around anxiety, depression, grief, decisions, relationship issues, loneliness, overwhelm, or feeling disconnected.
  • I work with people of all ages 13+. I’m LGBTIA+ affirming. All of your identities are welcome and fair game to bring to our conversations whether that be race, gender, sexuality, culture, ethnicity, ability and any other aspect of yourself.

My approach to therapy

I have a warm and welcoming style that focuses on collaborative conversation and active listening. no blank wall therapist here. In my 13 years working as a therapist, I’ve found that a flexible and eclectic approach works best for most of my clients. It’s often hard to fit a whole person into one mode of therapy so we may use a variety of strategies. Areas we may explore:

  • Values, Identity and Purpose clarification
  • Explore when you feel most authentic and resilient
  • Address unhelpful thinking patterns and procrastination
  • Navigate the imprint that oppression and inequity leave on our lives
  • Build practical skills and mindfulness.

Feel free to reach out if you’d like a free 15-30 minute consult. I look forward to connecting.

About Me

I’m a Washington State transplant from Ohio. I can’t get enough of the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, but still bring some of the friendly Midwest with me.

You’ll find me hiking, running, walking with friends and family, or playing beach volleyball in the nicer months. I’ll try, and often fail, to work my way through an endless stack of books. I enjoy a good TV series too.

I have a deep curiosity for many things and appreciate learning about a broad range of topics inside and outside of therapy. I’m also politically engaged and justice oriented.
